I got into Abraham’s HOT seat!!

May 5th, 2007

What an absolutely phenomenal day!! I don’t know where to even start :D It has been a long day and I have just got home after a 4 hour drive, but I HAVE to tell anyone that will listen that I did get into the hot seat!! Wahooooo :)

I went to the Abraham-Hicks Workshop in Asheville with the intention that I would get into the hot seat to ask a question that I had all planned out.

I knew that Abraham looks for the vibration of the people in the audience that are the most clear and vibrant and I was determined to get into that place.

I started out this morning by getting up a bit earlier than I normally would have and had a shower and then meditated for about 40 minutes. ( I did the easy meditation where you put on head phones and just drift away – I was using Insight and also have Holosync, which is also good.) I figured that would be a good start to getting me into the place that I needed to be in, in order to get “seen”.

I was running right on time in order to get to Biltmore for the 7:30 check in (workshop started at 9:00). I took it as a good sign that there was a huge, and I mean HUGE, picture of the face of an owl looking at me when I entered the elevator to check out. :) Anyone familiar with the Sara books by Esther Hicks will know that the Abrahamish entity in the books is an owl named Solomon.

I got all checked in and settled in my seat. I picked the perfect place to sit. I could see Esther perfectly and the video screen as well. No fluffy hair or tall people blocked my view :) A while back, I made a mind movie and saved it to my mp3 player. While I was sitting there, I plugged myself into the mp3 player and watched and listened to my movie. That really cranked up my vibe. :) Not getting called on didn’t even cross my mind. I KNEW I would get a chance to ask my question. I watched the video many times before Abraham picked the perfect time to call me to the chair. What followed was a whirlwind in my mind, but I will make that another post as it is late, and I am all tuckered out.

BUT YEA! I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT! I had a clear intention and took the inspired action to get me into a place where I needed to be. I felt so empowered walking up to that chair. I think there were a max of 10 to 15 people called forward out of, my guess is, about 200+ people :)

This is how I got into the hot seat in 2008 as well. For about a week before the event in Atlanta, I started writing out my questions. I decided that if I was going to spend the money on going to the event, I was going to get into the hot seat. At first I wondered if it was okay to ask questions just about what I wanted — my own “Abraham,” help with a financial situation. Then I realized that they had spoken about their not being any desire that is selfish in a negative sense. I wanted being called into the hot seat to be more than an answer to my questions, but to actually verify to me that I could ask and receive. My asking was pure, and I wanted to be up there, and EXPECTED to be up there.

It was the second half of the workshop, after lunch. I continued expecting to be up there, but I did feel disappointed after each time they called someone else. The people beside me said they felt me sort of sigh each time, which I didn’t realize I was doing. In my mind, I was sending a pure thought to be up there. I was envisioning going forward, sitting there in the chair, asking my question. In fact, I had been doing that throughout the week prior to the event.

And oh what a feeling when they called me! You know that feeling. I wanted to run down the aisle like I had just been called to “come on down!” on The Price is Right. And the joy was incredible. I kept their gaze as I walked down and was seated, and I just felt incredible love and knowing coming from them. So incredibly cool. One of the first things I said was “thank you for hearing me.” I knew they would understand.

A couple years later, that experience is still with me. I have to admit, I still have some trouble with some of their teachings. I figure that is okay. Question everything and accept only what your own soul finds to be true. But that experience taught me that there was something there, that I asked and received, that this was not just Esther Hicks, wife of Jerry, talking from her mind. There was a depth there that could be seen and felt, and they understood what I really needed — hope, belief that I can attract things, that I have something good in my vortex.

They are in Atlanta today, but I did not go. I did not have a strong desire to sit in the hot seat or a significant question that I wanted to ask, and I knew I would not be called on this time if I did raise my hand. I think they have taught me that we can access our own Abraham through meditation, and that is what I’m working on.

Blessings to you. I enjoyed reading your post that you expected to be called and then your next one saying you were. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing you can ask and be heard.

p.s. And like your experience, there were many people there. I estimated about 15 were called out of about 600 in the room. Not everyone wanted to be up there, of course. It is a wonderful realization when you find you have asked, fully opened to receiving, and then you received. It confirms that it WORKS. It really works.
