Sleeping In and Questions for Abraham

What a wonderful morning! Gotta love when you hit kids growing up milestones. I got up early due to my littlest (5) calling me. I decided that I would do all things I normally do like taking care of the animals and feeding the kids (2 out of 3 were up at 6am on a Saturday) and then I would see if I could go back to bed for a little lie in. I managed to get the kids settled (they knew where to find me if they needed me) and went back upstairs around 7am. I left them with a request to try and get along with each other. In the past, they had a tendency to fight and get VERY loud so I wasn’t sure how it would work out. At 10 am, I woke up to realize that I DID manage to have my lie in! I was SO impressed with the fact that went and told all the kids how appreciative I was. It was a milestone for us here :)

I so needed that little rest. Mom donned the nurse hat for quite a stretch there. My dear daughter fell off the climber and dislocated / broke her elbow. We had a ride in the Ambulance and quite a stay in the ER so we could get her sorted out. It was really tough for me to work through as I didn’t know what to say to her to help her. :( She has had a cast since then which she will be getting off on Monday! Yeah! The following week we had a stomach virus (second time in 3 weeks) afflict both of the boys. Mom has had more than her fair share of dealing with pluke (as my 5 year old calls vomiting) to last here for a quite a while. I’m incredibly thankful that my daughter managed to dodge that one this time around.

I am going to see Abraham for the Friday workshop in Asheville :D I am soooo excited! I am planning on talking with them yet again and this time, I will be asking questions on how to related to my children in a fashion that will not totally squash their need to be who they are. I also would love to find out how to influence my children into wellness. We aren’t really Doctor people and don’t really focus on illness, unless it is in the house, and even then it is usually in a ‘this is just temporary, won’t it be nice to feel well again” way. I know we can’t create in another’s experience, but what can we do to influence them to a healthier direction? That isn’t really the full question I can feel it. It will evolve until the moment I get called, I am sure :D
