The choice to follow love through to its completion is the choice to seek completion within ourselves. The point at which we shut down on others is the point at which we shut down on life. We heal as we heal others, and we heal others by extending our perceptions past their weaknesses. Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who that person is. Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is. Forgiving others is the only way to forgive ourselves, and forgiveness is our greatest need. –Illuminata by Marianne Williamson
I have a memory from many years ago, where I was driving and listening to a tape from Marianne Williamson where she was talking about forgiving family. I remember, at the time, that it made me VERY angry. I was in the midst of a family drama where I was playing the role of the victim. I had all the valid reasons about why I had the right to feel the way that I did. It was the truth in my eyes. Little did I see, at the time, that it did not serve me in the least, but rather, held me in a place I really didn’t want to be. I knew it felt horrible, but didn’t know what to do about it.
Through my discovery of Wayne Dyer and then Abraham, I have learned that Marianne did, indeed, know what she was talking about. I just wasn’t at a point where I could hear and understand the truth of her words.
I spent quite a bit of my life in a mild depression over what I wanted but was not able to get from another person. I always thought that someone else should act differently in order to make me feel better. Through the years, I have come to realize that couldn’t be further from the truth. The quote below, from Abraham, states it perfectly.
We say, Good Luck with that one. Because even if you could whip that one enough that that one would begin to behave exactly as you need them to be, so that you can feel better, there will be another and another and another and you just can’t control those misbehaving buggers. You just can’t do it. You must decide that you are going to line up with who you are. You must decide that you’re going to begin to see the world through the eyes of source. If you are to be joyful, you must see the world through the eyes of source. And by the world, we mean your government. We mean your mate. We mean your children. We mean strangers that you don’t even know. We mean those rascals in traffic. We mean everything you give your attention to, you’ve got to find a way to see it through the eyes of source.

I have come so far in my journey. I am totally in awe of it all really. I never set out to “fix” the situations that were bad, but rather decided to focus on my happiness. I decided to be selfish. And that was the most profound decision I have ever made in my life.
We want to reactivate within you a determination that you are going to get hold of the Vibrational Relationship between you and You. Because you are Eternal extensions of Source Energy, and the Source Energy that is you loves you, and loves others. The Source Energy that is you knows your value; knows your worthiness; knows all of the wonderful things that are over here in Vibrational Escrow waiting for you, and will always be a vibrational match to those things that you want, and will never join you in your depression.

I have changed evolved dramatically in the last year. My trip to visit my mom would never have be entertained if I had not.
I received a call from my mom yesterday in regards to my trip back up north. The news she had to share was extremely less than positive but I wasn’t affected by it, at all. I am still going up there. Still in a positive frame of mind amidst the negative drama that is currently raging for her and my brother’s family.
While my mom was recounting what was going on, I felt lovingly detached from the situation. It was a bit surreal for me because after the call, I was recalling how I would have reacted in the past. I would have been sucked into the drama it all. I now know that they all will make it through what is going on and I don’t have to be drawn in. I know that I don’t have to get in their boats with them and paddle them in the direction that I think is better for them. I can let them do what they need to and still love them. I think, perhaps, that is seeing them through the eyes of source. It is an amazing revelation to me and it feels absolutely wonderful!
