My Trip to Tampa

Tampa was fabulous.    I went down there really hoping to get a reading by either Lisa Williams, John Holland or Collete Baron Reid.  Steve is still dealing with his PTSD and Depression and I really hoped that my dad would bring through his dad.  Steve needs to hear that his dad doesn’t hate or blame him for the suicide.  I know that is the case, but guilt is a hard to overcome especially when it has been around for about 35 years.  Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.   It seems that spirits keep their personalities when they cross over.  If they were loud and pushy in life, they are the same in spirit.  The louder they are, the better the chance they have of coming through.  Well both our dads were very quiet and reserved, guess they didn’t have a chance to come be heard.

Let’s see, who else did I see…

Sonia Choquette -  That was fabulous workshop.   She is a little firecracker of a woman.  It was an energy filled, “get up and do it” workshop.  I got to see a glimpse of a previous version of me in another person there.  All the work that I did with EFT for social anxiety before I went made a big difference for me.  Even though I was surrounded by thousands of people, I was totally at ease.  There was a young man a couple two seats away from me who was very uncomfortable with the workshop.  I could definitely empathize with that feeling because I would have been the same way in the past.  You had to talk to the people around you.  You had to get up and dance and sing.  You had to touch the people around you.   You had to connect with others and yourself.  I could definitely see the “squirm factor” in him.  LOL

Wayne Dyer – I got to see a preview of a movie that will be released in January, Ambition to Meaning: Finding Your Life’s Purpose.  It looks like a really good movie so I did a preorder of it through Amazon.  He also did a keynote speech on “Excuses Begone” which was pretty good.  If you have listened to any of his stuff, it was basically the same type of thing.  He was an okay speaker, but not my favorite.  Though I will say, I actually started my journey to spirituality with him.  I was lead to him, way back when, when I asked for guidance from the powers that be.  I found his PBS special on The Power of Intention.  That actually had a profound effect on me and I did a search for more info and somehow ended up the works of Abraham-Hicks.  And the rest, as they say, is history!

Sylvia Browne – Just three words, gruff, gruff, gruff!  I think she was the least favorite of the speakers.  I know some love her gruffness, but compared to the others that were speaking, she didn’t exude the love that they did.  I prefer the love LOL

Doreen Virtue – She seemed very nice but a bit “out there”.  She definitely had a stereotypical angel airy-ness about her.

Marianne Williamson -  Wow.  Just Wow.  Her speech just about had me jumping out of my seat.  LOL I couldn’t tell you anything about the speech, at the moment, but it was POWERFUL!  I am getting CDs of the workshop and will share parts of here talk on my blog.  I *really* liked her and have started reading her books.  Something about her really synched with me.  Ahhh another teacher for me

There were tons of other workshops and talks but these were the ones that I remember going to.

It was actually really great to see how law of attraction works.  The first person I met, was when I was waiting for Lisa Williams to start.  She, Lin,  was sitting down behind me but then moved next to me because I was blocking her way.   She told me about the time she did get a reading from Lisa.  Her daughter had commited suicide and had come through for her.  I was to tuned into the suicide issue that it came and found me.

The other person I meet was actually via Lin.  Lin had met her on the plane coming to Tampa.  We were walking and talking, as a small group and I discovered that was having fertility issues and had actually been to our website which deals with fertility issues!    Had I stepped out of my comfort zone just a little more, LOL who knows what types of synchronistic encounters I would have had!
