Can I just say that, from the viewpoint of someone who had never come across the Law of Attraction, the movie was a great introduction, and I've used it as such for several friends. From the viewpoint of a long time user, no, it didn't go deep, but that - to my perspective - wasn't it's purpose.
For most people, their first priority is survival, which these days is linked to money. Hence, it works to get their attention onto something higher plane even if they're caught in a cycle on the material level. I would have thought that a deliberate focus of the movie, and there's no denying it worked. Where the issue comes in, I believe, is in expecting it to do more. The headline doesn't tell the whole story, and it never will. "The Secret" acted as a headline for LoA and got huge attention. Now it's up to the other resources, tools and organisations to pick up where it left off and keep the flame going.
Sorry for such a long post, but I've been working intensively on a 30 day Manifestation trial to use Law of Attraction in my own life for the past 4 weeks, so I feel strongly about this.
Disappointments only ever arise from our own expectations.

[...] When The Secret originally came out, Abraham-Hicks was a vital part of it all. Through contractual issues, subsequent runs of the DVD had Esther and Abraham replaced. I originally wrote about this in this post, ‘The Secret’ and Abraham Hicks.
Like many a video, the SECRET is a little shallow in areas, but covers the Law of attraction very well. It is not new information, though dramatic (theatrical) in presentation. Its principles are in line with Edger Cayce, Think and Grow Rich and other Golden Age publications. Put into a Spiritual perspective --giving God all glory, thanks and graditude-- it offers great benefit. Those seeing it purely from a materialistic viewpoint will, no doubt, ultimately loose whatever they may gain in applying its principles as outlined, since wealth [in accumulation] must be given away to be of lasting value to anyone who emasses it. Peace!

I think it is cool to see that Esther and Jerry still battle with it all too and that they are able to understand and “turn the boat around”. Makes them more real to me. I do wonder, though, how they managed to attract this particular, challenging situation :) That is just me being a nosey parker!

This resonate with also, haha. When i know that they also face this kind of problem, i feel that we are equal and alike, as near as my neighbour living together in the same neighbourhood.:)

That's the good thing about this way of thinking... different strokes for different folks. If it works for you, absolutely wonderful! :) Just didn't sit well with me and apparently not with Esther & Jerry either. Never said that "The Secret" was a bad thing. I KNOW it works for many. So if it makes a difference to you, then it is all good.
