I was going through my email and found Carol Look’s current newsletter. I really enjoy reading her newsletters as she always has actual tapping scripts that you can use while you are reading. This newsletter has a script for replacing negative or fear based vibrations.
What if you took control of your vibrational habits? What if you allowed yourself to develop
new habits of positive, hopeful vibrations? What if you eliminated the vibrational habits of worry and fear?I know it sounds challenging to eliminate worry and fear, but one thing is for sure…worry and fear have never helped you on a vibrational level attract what you want in your life. In fact, these emotions repel what you want. When all your energy is wrapped up in worry or fear, there’s no room for the “what if something wonderful could come into my life…” vibration.
You can find the full article on her website along with the tapping sequence. It is actually a really good one as I am pretty sure we all have a bit of the “what if this bad thing happens” in our vibration. I like the way she focuses on the problem in round one and then taps on positive solutions to the problems in round two. Give it a try and you might just feel a little bit of a shift.
EFT is really easy to learn. You can go and download a free manual that gives you the basics of it all. I have the DVDs that Gary Craig offers and find that they are really helpful in seeing how it all plays out in practice.

I received an email recently that I thought would be valuable to share with the readers of my blog.
I “discovered” your web site today and was inspired to ask you a question. You seem to be something of an expert at using the law of attraction and I was wondering how you do it. Please allow me to elaborate: I get what the law of attraction is and basically how it works but I am having difficulty getting anything to happen for me. Quotes from Abraham, and others, say allow things to happen and good things are waiting for you to catch up with them etc. Nobody ever says HOW though, at least not that I have ever been able to understand. So, since you seem to have a firm grasp on this, may I ask you to explain how (in general terms) someone like me can allow things to happen in my life now. I hope my question makes sense and I thank you for your time in reading this.
It never fails to amaze me when people believe that I have a good grasp on this law of attraction thing. I have the same ups and downs as everyone else. I guess that is the blessing of the internet. If you don’t write about the crap, people assume that things are moving along swimmingly. And for the most part, understanding the law of attraction, in theory, is what keeps me from expounding on the down times ad nauseum.
I think an email to my buddy, Lyman, at Creating A Better Life, at the beginning of December, helps to clarify my feelings the best. He had a request on his blog asking for readers to share what was right with their lives. I avoided sharing for quite a while, but eventually did. Lyman sent me a thanks email and I replied to him.
From Lyman
Thanks for playing, Vickie!I really appreciate your contribution… especially since you were one of the people who first helped me know that it’s a good thing to look at what’s right with me.
My Reply:
Well, to be honest, LOL I was avoiding your request for “what is right in your life” for a while. I was in one of those funk places and was working on getting myself back to pointing in the right direction. Your post made me point in a better direction and made me look at what was going well with my life, what I had to be thankful for, instead of the perceived battle I was internally going through.Your email had to be fished from the Trash folder. For some reason, your thoughts, about me, made me feel like a fraud. Sort of like, “I can talk the talk but not walk the walk”, or “Do as I say, not as I do”. That self judgment is probably the worst critic any of us can have.
Paddle by paddle, little by little, I am turning in the Stream. It’s not supposed to be a battle. LOL I KNOW that but … well … sometimes those old patterns creep up on you without you even realizing them.
Okay, enough of that, just wanted to let you know that I appreciated your reply and I really did want to reply sooner. Just took a while to quiet those nay saying voices.
Now, don’t get me wrong, my life is moving along quite well. The majority of the time, I AM faced in the right direction with an attitude that allows the good to come to me. I love hearing from my readers and do try to offer suggestions where I can. Ultimately, though, it is an inside job where you put the principals of the law of attraction into use.
My reply to the reader that sent that original email, is below:
Let me start out by saying that I am definitely not an expert. I plug along getting it right sometimes and not getting things to work out other times, just like everyone else. When things don’t work out as I hoped, I can usually look back and see how I might have focused differently. Most of the time, I can definitely see a pattern of thought or behavior that was counter productive. And, well, honestly, some of those behaviors and thought patterns are pretty darn tough to overcome. I find myself doing the hindsight thing over and over again on the same core issues a lot of the times. At times, success to where you want to be / have is a slow process of moving a bit further each time.
I can’t tell you how to get what you want, but I can tell you what helps me along the journey. (And it IS a journey.)
1) Finding things to appreciate.
For me just appreciating life in general and everything that you come in contact with helps get you in line with the “come to me, these things that I want” vibe. If you can’t look at what you are wanting and hold that in an appreciative view, you shouldn’t keep looking at it
Look else where and find things to appreciate there.
2) Dealing with those nay saying voices in your head when they come up.
These are the ones that have you thinking that you aren’t worthy and that you can’t have what you want and that you don’t deserve to be happy. They are the voices that say you can’t possibly have what you want in life with out a huge struggle. This is probably one of the more intensive parts of getting what you want because these voices are hooked into the core of our being most of the time. They are the voices of our past that were repeated over and over again until we because programmed to believe what they were saying. That negative programming really puts a damper on our ability to manifest what we are desiring.
There are many modalities out there that will help you work through these issues, but, if you read my blog, you will see that Emotional Freedom Techinique (EFT) is my process of choice. What ever helps you release those false beliefs about your worth is a good thing.
3) Have Faith that what you desire or more is coming to you.
This is a hard one too for some people. It took me a long time to actually get to this point. I am at a point that I know that life is supposed to be good and that I deserve to have a good life. Once I actually stop trying to orchestrate the HOW the goodness will arrive, it tends to arrive much quicker and more easily. I have faith that it all turns out okay even if it doesn’t turn out how you envisioned it to. Sometimes our visions of what we want, and our holding tight to them, are actually the things that keep us from achieving the joy we are so desperately desiring and deserving. When we are so focused on the outcome, we sometimes fail to see the bigger, more beautiful and wonderful potential outcome.
It is all a journey. You can’t get it wrong because you never get it done. We need to stop being so hard on ourselves. There is always a new beginning in the next second, but if we keep looking back at what failed to materialize, it slows the process down.
Basically, I think it all comes down to having the desire to be happy. All those things you want to materialize in your life are due to your belief that, in having what you desire, you will feel better. I truly believe that we all deserve to be happy. And again, happiness is a real inside job. It takes work sometimes but it is so worth the effort.
One of my old friends on facebook made me cringe a little for him, and laugh at the same time. His status said that he “has one resolution: Make 2009 suck less than 2008.”
I can remember times, in my past, where I tried creating a better outcome by focusing on the things that went wrong. Anyone, who understands law of attraction, knows that is going about it the wrong way. I’ve learned that you need to take the contrast of the undesirable circumstances and discern what it is you DO want and then focus on that. In addition to that, you need to be able to look at where you are and where you have come from and find things to appreciate. Raising that appreciation vibe will open the door to allow your vibrational escrow to flow in.
Looking back over 2008, I am absolutely amazed at what a monumental year it really was.
- We totally gutted our kitchen and had it professionally redesigned. It looks BEAUTIFUL now and was well worth the 3 months it took! Luckily we had a second kitchen in this house due to the previous owner making a mother-in-law suite.

- My “little girl” started middle school this year. I can’t believe she is in 6th grade already!
- On the business front, we moved our office to a new location and now have warehouse space to hold all our stock. The business continued to grow and thrive in 2008.
- We added 2 (!) new additions to our family, Lulu and Sophie. Two sisters born on 1/1/2008 and are now about 60lbs a piece! So the family now has, Mom, Dad, One Daughter, Two Sons, 3 Dogs and a Cat (… and a partridge in a pear tree
)

- We bought a house for my mom and moved her down here to live near us. That was pretty monumental for me when I look back on our relationship in the past. She was here once before and I was VERY glad when she moved back up north to be with my brother. What a difference a couple of years, alot of Abraham and alot of EFT, and tons of personal growth can make.
She’s here and everything is perfect between us – NO DRAMA at all!
- We helped Steve’s brother and sister-in-law find a house to buy in NC for rental income. They are from England but will eventually be moving across the pond for at least 1/2 the year once they retire.
- I “ran away” for a “me” break to take part in the “I Can Do It” conference in Tampa. I discovered that my “fear of flying” no longer was. I discovered that my social anxiety was pretty much gone as well. I actually did quite a bit of work on the social anxiety aspect with EFT before I went and was pretty impressed that it paid off! During this trip, I also ended a 10 year friendship. It was very hard to do, but I needed to get my life back into a calm place. I put my needs first instead of someone else’s needs. THAT was pretty monumental for me too.
Ah 2009. I wonder what amazing things the next 365 days has in store for me.
Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope 2009 brings you ultimate joy, health and prosperity! You deserve it and I believe we all can achieve that!
