Everyone knows that meditation is a great tool to come into alignment and quiet your mind. It is one of those processes that Abraham highly recommends in order to allow you to come into a state of allowing. We spend quite a bit of time in a state of resistance which does not allow what we have in our vibrational escrows to come into being.
September 8 – Ask and It Is Given – Perpetual Flip Calendar
Meditation is a state of allowing, where, for just a few moments, you stop trying to make anything happen. It is a time when you are saying to your Source Energy, to your Inner Being, to your God (or whatever you want to call it): Here I am, in a state of allowing Source Energy to flow purely through me. Fifteen minutes of effort will change your life. It will allow the Energy that is natural to you to flow; you will feel better in the moment, and you will feel more energized when you come out of it.
If you have a busy life, you are likely to find excuses, left and right, as to why you just don’t have time to meditate. I have tried several meditation programs online and each has it’s benefits.
The one I am currently using and loving is from Immrama.org. I am using the Insight CD (though I have both the Insight and Focus) and can definitely find 24 minutes a day. I have always loved watching and listening to the rain so this meditation program is especially relaxing to me. I find that I am very relaxed and refreshed when the 24 minutes is over.
From http://www.immrama.org/insight/insight2.html
The audio technology, embedded on an audio CD beneath the soothing sounds of natural rain, works to guide you into profoundly deep states of relaxation, meditation, and awareness.
Not all brainwave products are dedicated to helping you achieve long-term personal growth and improvement. Many products offer temporary effects, but do not help the listener achieve long-term benefits and results. The Insight CD is designed to help you improve your mental and emotional well-being for long-term results.
While it would take years, possibly decades, of training to achieve these positive results through traditional meditation techniques or other personal growth programs, our listeners are experiencing the same results and more in an incredibly accelerated timeframe. Our audio technology will assist you in reaching levels of consciousness as deep and often deeper than those reached by experienced meditators, Zen monks, and Yogis who have been practicing meditation for years.
If you like guided meditations, you can give Meditainment a shot. They have a nice collection of guided meditations in mp3 format. It is great for those out there who like the instant gratification of having the meditation NOW
You can join and download all the meditations in the member area. I have been a member for 2 years and do listen to the meditations every so often when I want to be guided through the experience. They are constantly updated their catalog and adding new, member suggested, meditations. They have a many meditations which are situation specific and run about 20 minutes in length.
A few of the topics covered include:
Depression
Thinking Positively
Money Worries
Self Confidence
Self Esteem
Many Relaxation Programs
Stress Relief
If you visit their site, you can get a free mp3 download of the Secret Garden so you can see what their programs are like.
I tried Centerpointe and, while it is a great program, it is costly and requires an hour a day. I did that for a while, but family, work and kids got in the way of uninterrupted meditation time on a regular basis.
I find that meditation helps me stay more on track. It helps me deal with the stressors of daily life in a more positive way. I like that and so does my family!

After my post about wallowing in the contrast, I received an email entitled “Unsolicited Advice” from a fellow blogger, Clyde from Feeling Good.
Vickie,
I would like to offer you some unsolicited advice that’s been building in me as I’ve waited for what seemed like the appropriate time to share this with you.
As I’ve followed your blog over the last few months, I’ve noticed that you often blog about the things that are not going well for you. You often write of your past, your “programming”, your contrast, etc.
Knowing what you know about LOA and how thoughts become things, I would suggest that you consider how the process of continuing to think of and write about these things might be contributing to the creation of these very things which you do not want.
LOA says that whatever you think about, you get more of, yes? Then doesn’t it make sense that you are getting more and more contrast since what you are thinking of (and writing about – you can’t write it without thinking
it) are the things that you don’t want? Please understand that I am not writing this to be critical in any way. I merely want the best for you and I can see how you are inadvertently creating more of what you don’t want. I do not make a habit of trying to quickly “fix” everyone who comes my way. Instead, I have learned to wait until the time comes, if it does, when I feel a nudge to reach out and say something. I’ve found this to be particularly effective as that time tends to happen at just the right moment for the recipient to “hear” what I’m offering. This is all that I am now doing…offering you a metaphorical mirror in which you can hopefully see the reason you are where you are.
Please consider what I’ve said and if you find it useful, keep it; if not, feel free to discard it. Either way I sincerely wish you the very best as you walk your path.
Namaste,
Clyde
My reply to him:
Hi Clyde,
I hear ya
And you are 100% correct. It is that rut that I have myself in. I know I shouldn’t be doing it but don’t want to do the work necessary to get out of the rut. It is all my doing. I am getting there slowly but surely though, making small changes that *are* improving things.
The funny thing about this is that it isn’t the first time I heard it! My husband (the “non believer” has quoted it back to me as has my daughter!). I guess it is time to start taking my own advice

Hey would you mind if I shared your advice on my blog?
Thanks for taking the time to share, I really do appreciate it.
Vickie
I had worked myself into a real rut about my “reality” at the time. I was having quite a few indicators of what my emotions were.
Abraham so nicely helped me realize why the rut was there. Law of Attraction was definitely bringing me more of what I was focusing on and it became my predominate vibration for a while there.

So you might say, when you feel negative emotion, “I’m looking at this one way, but the source within me is seeing it differently.” For example, when you see something in yourself that you don’t like, and you find fault with it, the reason it feels so awful is because source within you does not do that. When you find fault with another, the reason it feels so awful is because source within you does not do that.
And there is a tendency to look at that person that’s causing you to feel this discomfort “If you would be different, I wouldn’t feel this way. I didn’t feel this way before you misbehaved. But now you have misbehaved, I feel bad and I blame you.”
We say, Good Luck with that one. Because even if you could whip that one enough that that one would begin to behave exactly as you need them to be, so that you can feel better, there will be another and another and another and you just can’t control those misbehaving buggers. You just can’t do it. You must decide that you are going to line up with who you are. You must decide that you’re going to begin to see the world through the eyes of source. If you are to be joyful, you must see the world through the eyes of source. And by the world, we mean your government. We mean your mate. We mean your children. We mean strangers that you don’t even know. We mean those rascals in traffic. We mean everything you give your attention to, you’ve got to find a way to see it through the eyes of source.
Now we want you to understand, source does not look at every awful thing and feel good and we’re not asking you to do that either. We’re saying, be selective in your sifting. If you have a partner who’s magnificent in many ways, and really a bugger in other ways, give your attention to the wonderful parts and use that as your excuse to line up with who you are.
But so often, you pick out that flaw and you focus upon it and you feel awful in doing so and then, because you feel awful, you feel even more angry because you feel awful and it’s because of this flaw in this person you are focused upon. So now, you feel awful. You blame them. You hold yourself apart from who you are. You feel dis-empowered and if you keep it up, in time, you will come to loathe that person because you believe that person is responsible for the way you feel, when that person is not responsible for the way you feel. You have the ability to tune yourself to the best of everything. And in every particle of the Universe, there is that which is wanted and the lack of it. And it’s up to you to make the decision about which part you fixate on.
However, law of attraction, if you have been beating the drum of something, if you’ve been focused upon something not wanted and you’ve been beating the drum of it for a while, now, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to start beating a different drum, is it? Because you’ve sorta developed that pattern of thought. If you think about something in certain way for a while, it becomes active within you, and if you keep it up, it becomes dominantly active within you. Someone said to us recently, Abraham, it feels like my thoughts are thinking me. And we say, well that’s law of attraction at work. When you get going on a jag, when you get on a theme, when you start talking about it, thinking about it, writing about it, having conversations about it, joining online chat groups about it, in other words, when you make something active in your vibration, IT’S active in your vibration. And the longer you make something active in your vibration, that is contrary to who you REALLY are, and what you really know, the worse and worse and worse you’ll feel. Until eventually, you’ll have more than the indicator of the emotion that points out your discord, you’ll start having the indicator of physical sensation in your body. You’ll start having things bumping up on your body. You’ll start having things bumping out of your body. You’ll start having diagnoses about your body. You’ll start having more and more and more indicators of the discord. But that’s all they are. Every manifestation that you live, every that you call real life. All the stuff, your home, your bank account, your relationships, your body. Everything about your life experience is an indicator of your vibrational continence. That’s all it is.
My “reality” has nothing to do with what everyone else around me is doing, saying or being. For the longest time, it was so much easier to blame others for how my life was manifesting. It’s easy to take full credit for those manifestations that are wonderful and positive, but those “less than what I want” manifestations, well, I am still working on accepting them as my own doing. I’m getting there though. I am seeing my upstream thoughts more often now and working to turn them downstream. It is a journey, that’s for sure. Abraham says that we are always going with the stream, whether or not it seems like it. We just go willingly and easily downstream or we battle the stream as it pushes us slowly backwards down the river. I would rather see the scenery and beauty of what is coming up instead of focusing on all the negative that the upstream paddling attracts. I will put the oars down more often and allow the current to take me where I really do want to go.

What a wonderful morning!
Gotta love when you hit kids growing up milestones. I got up early due to my littlest (5) calling me. I decided that I would do all things I normally do like taking care of the animals and feeding the kids (2 out of 3 were up at 6am on a Saturday) and then I would see if I could go back to bed for a little lie in. I managed to get the kids settled (they knew where to find me if they needed me) and went back upstairs around 7am. I left them with a request to try and get along with each other. In the past, they had a tendency to fight and get VERY loud so I wasn’t sure how it would work out. At 10 am, I woke up to realize that I DID manage to have my lie in!
I was SO impressed with the fact that went and told all the kids how appreciative I was. It was a milestone for us here
I so needed that little rest. Mom donned the nurse hat for quite a stretch there. My dear daughter fell off the climber and dislocated / broke her elbow. We had a ride in the Ambulance and quite a stay in the ER so we could get her sorted out. It was really tough for me to work through as I didn’t know what to say to her to help her.
She has had a cast since then which she will be getting off on Monday! Yeah! The following week we had a stomach virus (second time in 3 weeks) afflict both of the boys. Mom has had more than her fair share of dealing with pluke (as my 5 year old calls vomiting) to last here for a quite a while. I’m incredibly thankful that my daughter managed to dodge that one this time around.
I am going to see Abraham for the Friday workshop in Asheville
I am soooo excited! I am planning on talking with them yet again and this time, I will be asking questions on how to related to my children in a fashion that will not totally squash their need to be who they are. I also would love to find out how to influence my children into wellness. We aren’t really Doctor people and don’t really focus on illness, unless it is in the house, and even then it is usually in a ‘this is just temporary, won’t it be nice to feel well again” way. I know we can’t create in another’s experience, but what can we do to influence them to a healthier direction? That isn’t really the full question I can feel it. It will evolve until the moment I get called, I am sure
