I must say that the 10/20/07 Washington DC workshop CDs are full of some amazing segments! I will link to it once they add it to their website.
One of the segments that caught my attention was about a woman who had heard that no food is bad for you if you come into alignment with it before eating it. She decided that she liked this and would give it a try. She was disappointed by the fact that the cookies where making her clothing feel tighter even though she was definitely appreciating every morsel.
She was confused as to why it “wasn’t working” for her. Abraham went on to say that food and your body image are one of the long term vibrations that are more difficult to bring into alignment. Ultimately you can’t get away from either thing (food or body) so they are always there to help you focus, in an upstream or a downstream fashion depending on how you are choosing to focus.
We are bombarded by news, books and people saying that XYZ is bad for you at every turn. It is hard not to hear all of this and to have it not leave an imprint on what you believe about things. Abraham says that you can eat anything you like and not suffer ill effects (weight gain, dis-ease in your body etc) but only if you are in alignment with it first.
They went on to tell us how to actually do that!
CD 10/20/07 – Washington DC – CD 4
For every hour, for every minute, you spend eating, we would like you to spend equal or double lining up energy about food. Just for a little while. In other words, say:
“I’m going to eat for the next 25 minutes, or I am going to eat for the next 15 minutes, but before I spend 15 minutes eating, I’m going to spend 15 minutes lining up energy about body, weight, health, food … just, just, dabbling into your vision. Just thinking about your vision. Just projecting thoughts about who you are. Just getting into alignment. Trying to get a glimpse, and here’s the way we would approach it:
I’m going to do my best to see me, in my body, through the eyes of source.
So, seeing your body though the eyes of source:
Source loves your body.
Source loves the cells of your body.
Source loves the flow of blood and oxygen through your body.
Source loves the detail of your body.In other words, what an extraordinary creature you are.
And as you tap into the feeling that source has about your body, you can begin to feel… are any of you getting a feeling of it here? You begin to feel a sort of energy moving through your body, a sort of cellular attention to your body. Can you feel that?
That kind of alignment prepares you for what you are going to eat. You see, you’re getting the energy moving first. You’re on the right track. You’re soothing out the resistance. You’re shifting your beliefs. You’re queuing yourself up for alignment. You’re queuing yourself up for inspiration. And what you choose, even from the menu, is going to be influenced by this alignment, you see. You get that? The work of creation is mental vibrational not action but the food you eat is action. The process of eating is action.
Abraham, speaking through Esther Hicks explains why appreciation is so powerful in transforming our experience, as well as how we can cultivate appreciation, how we can use it, and why an emphasis on gratitude is less effective. Recorded at the November 11, 2007 Art of Allowing Workshop in Orlando, Florida. For more information visit their website at www.abraham-hicks.com.

Song – Beethoven’s Song of the Sheperd, Happy and Thankful Feelings after the Storm
It’s an interesting thing because in your enthusiasm for what’s over there, you’ve exaggerated where you are in relationship to being over there. In other words, when something so wonderful is over there, you can’t help but notice that you’re over here, not over there where it is. And so, we want you to soften or blur that distinction between where you are and where you are going. It’s an interesting thing as we visit with people about scripting, as we visit with them about seeing things as they want them to be, there’s a fine line between beating the drum of how you want it to be and having the backlash of just showing yourself that you aren’t over there yet. You can trust that everything that you’ve lived has made a magnificient vibrational escrow. And you can trust that law of attraction is calling you toward it.
You’re doing extremely well and we are not wanting to put a damper on your enthusiasm for life at all but we do want you to act less and think more; we do want you to think less and feel more; we do want you to try less and allow more; we do want you to trust more. We want you to relax more in the knowing of this magnificient stuff, and we gotta tell you , that in relaxed expectation there is much more powerful orgasm whether you are talking about the physical one or whether you are talking about the one that comes when all manifestation begins rendevousing. All of this stuff is the same stuff, in other words, when points light up for you, and you see it and you see it and you see it and you see it and you see it, that’s the way life is supposed to be. It is not a frenzy. It is this sure-footed, earth-turning-in-it’s-orbit, well-being-abounding, always-for-you way of going about it!
This video, featuring Brother David, a highly-respected Benedictine monk, author and spiritual leader, is a BLESSING to all those with “eyes to see and ears to hear.” Look, listen and be inspired by this powerful message on grateful living. Please visit gratefulness.org.
